STYLE

• The downtown style is quite different from the countryside or of the edge of sea, just like that of Paris and that of the large towns of our provinces. For the BCBG, the style differs especially according to families'. Certain branches inherited true wonders and others of what remained !

  The military memories or of the colonies abound, they represent the distinctive signs of the inhabitants of the house and does everything BCBG.
  
  In fact especially the few really old pieces of furniture make the knack and the style stripped of any imagination and of any audacity which gives this seal.

LES PRINCIPLES

• With old tables, yellowed photographs, old parchments, military decorations and the legion of honour will strew the house, as of the entry, and will emphasize the family traditions. If necessary, take a look of the second-hand trades, in Drouot or in other sale-rooms you will find this kind of articles.

• The memories objects like the old top hat of the uncle Charles-Henry or bronzes of the grandfather who does not serve really the decoration but leave a place to the feelings.
• Part of furniture must be or seem to be really old.
• The multiple and varied collections are very BCBG. The tastes wine and the silver drinking cups, the hard stone eggs, the boxes in marquetry or even the ducks form integral part of the life style BCBG.

• The library, which for lack of place will be very often installed in the show, will make appear in good place Bottin Mondain, the directory of X or the ESCP. Its culture should be shown !
• The settee involves a large investment. It will be selected at Habitat, Roche & Bobois, David Hicks or Yves Halard because it is essential to take glass, to receive his friends, to read or smoke a cigar. It will not be to in no case a copy of old but will have to be without age not to mark its date of purchase. It will be easy to maintain, washable and strewn with some cushions. On each side, small coffee tables carrying lamps and ashtrays.
  Caution: The settee will never be matched with the armchairs.

• The colours has to avoid are the black and gold, the electric green and the orange sharp, the colours raw or the indecent marriages: yellow and chestnut (the RATP), black and gold (Bedouin).
