LANDSCAPE GARDENS AND PARKS

Various types of scenery gardens before the Middle Ages until our days :

-Hispano-mauresque Garden : The gardens hispano-mauresques, testify to the presence of the Arab culture in the Iberian peninsula, of the VIII until the XV centuries; the most significant?uvre is Alhambra.

- Garden of the Middle Ages : The practice of the gardens was preserved in the monasteries. A garden made up primarily of grass of various varieties.

- Italian Garden : At the XVI century end, the Italian Baroque art éclot. The Italian gardens of the Rebirth are characterized by their splendid staircases with double slope accompanied by splendid terraces of approval.

- Traditional Garden : The gardens with the Frenchwoman were built during the XVII and XVIIIème centuries. The fundamental elements are: topiary art, famous orangeries, and kitchen gardens.

- Garden with English : In XVIIIème century a new style appears. The landscape becomes the object of a pictorial appreciation; the mixed borders and rubbles take shape with force.

- Contemporary Garden : Today, more than ever, the aspirations of a whole company are found in the spirit of nature.

- Japanese Garden : The Zen spirit imposed the meditation in the immobility in front of the garden. This type of very sober garden is rythmé only by some elements whose site was carefully selected.

FLOWERS

• The lily Of Eastern origin, this flower is naturally majestic, which was worth to him to be chosen by Saint Louis like emblem of the kingdom of France. It symbolizes the purity, virginity, innocence.
  They form very beautiful solid masses of summer and are excellent flowers with bouquets.

• The rose
  The eternal love. In Iliade, it is the love and death; in the Christian symbolic system, the red pink indicates the wounds of Christ while each white pink, in a rosary, underlines the perfection of the Virgin. In the Romance of the Rose, at the Average Age, it is the symbol of the loved woman. The impératrice Joséphine raffolait some, which encouraged the horticulturists to create the new varieties.
  Today, the symbolic system of this flower is still prégnante. The message depends however on the color. The white pink, following the example violet, indicates a timid love, the pink pink tenderness, the yellow pink forgiveness for inaccuracies and the red pink passion in all its splendour.
  
  Scented, coloured, climbing, buissonnants or papering, there exists a multitude of rose trees adapted to all the situations.

• The iris
  Iris was the messenger of the gods in ancient Greece. Quite naturally, the irises offered, with their petals in the shape of wings, are carrying a news which, whatever is nature, is happy.
  To Japan, one lends to this flower purifying and protective virtues: May 5, it is of tradition to take baths of iris.
