In Iliade, it is the love and death; in the Christian symbolic system, the red pink indicates the wounds of Christ while each white pink, in a rosary, underlines the perfection of the Virgin. In the Romance of the Rose, at the Average Age, it is the symbol of the loved woman. The impératrice Joséphine raffolait some, which encouraged the horticulturists to create the new varieties.
Today, the symbolic system of this flower is still prégnante. The message depends however on the color. The white pink, following the example violet, indicates a timid love, the pink pink tenderness, the yellow pink forgiveness for inaccuracies and the red pink passion in all its splendour.

Scented, coloured, climbing, buissonnants or papering, there exists a multitude of rose trees adapted to all the situations.
