GENEALOGIC TREE OF DAD
- Do
not confuse genealogy and genetics even if
generally the official parents of a child are
also his biological parents.
The act founder of the French marital status
is the ordinance of Villers-Cotteret enacted by
François The 1st the 15/08/1539 who entrusts to
the clergy the behaviour registers of baptisms
and death and imposes the use of the French language.
Do not believe that it is enough to an ordinance,
even royal, so that a whole country applies its
directives immediately.
As of the Middle Ages, the clergy had started
to hold such registers. Oldest which reached us
date of 1303, but it is rare that registers former
to 1650 are still existing. It will be sometimes
possible for you to go partially further with
legal documents, and other times you on the contrary
will be blocked earlier for various reasons (given
up child, destroyed registers...). On average
you can hope to discover your ancestors on 10
to 12 generations.
- The
relations of a child to his grandparents will
be also under the dependence of the bonds which
pre-exist between his/her parents and his/her
grandparents.
- In
the absence of the parents, they are the grandparents
who ensure the respect of the guiding principles
of education. From where interest to agree between
grandparents and parents on essence as regards
education. Too much inconsistency, of distortions
between all and sundry would put the child in
an impossible situation.
