DWELLING IN PROVINCE
OF THE BCBG

The French provinces offer to the BCBG a quality of life that they have not in Paris: That is well for that that Mr BCBG agrees to be transferred and thus to obtain promotion !

But for leaving, it is absolutely necessary to have gotten information about the centres of population more the BCBG and districts more smart.

ADDRESSES

  • BORDEAUX
Beside the quay of Chartrons, alleys of Tournyet, between, the course Xavier d'Arnozan which are very well inhabited; the district of the Park has the prettiest private mansions of Bordeaux. Another district, that of the old Bordeaux, renovated, became elegant. Limiting intramural Bordeaux, three "banners": Saint Médard's Day, Judaïque and of the Medoc are very BCBG. West ward, very west ward, Bordeaux-Caudéran is have residential quarter made up of pleasant houses, just like the part of Bouscat which is next to Caudéran.
Schools : Tivoli, the College of Jesuits and the College Grand Lebrun for the boys, only one school with the height for girls BCBG : The Assomption.
  • DIJON
The private mansions of the street Charbot-Charmy or the street Pasteur are very coveted. It is enough to settle in the vicinity failing to find one of these private mansions available to your arrival! At the market of the city, the districts Victor-Hugo, Fontaine-les-Dijon and Bruising have the best dimension. With Bruising, only the Bruising old man is "livable", but not the ZUP, one would have suspected it !
Schools : Almost all the school establishments are mixed; one generally quotes the college Carnot, Notre-Dame, Saint-François or Sainte-Ursule for the primary education.
  • GRENOBLE
With the feet of the Alpes, Grenoble and its Victor-Hugo district, in the centre town, are the place where it is necessary to live.
The residents of Grenoble like space and do not hesitate to settle in 3 offset but very pleasant districts : Meylan, La Tronche and Corenc.
Schools : The externat Notre-Dame, avenue Marcelin Berthelot and the Rondeau to Corenc, receive "the flower" of local youth.
  • LILLE
The middle-class dynasties of North grow and multiply. Lille and its area are fertile grounds in BCBG.
Only house of family "to begin again" or a predilection for the city, it is of good tone to flee the center. One lives close to the park of Saint-Maur, at Brigode, Lambersart, Bondues or Marcq-en-Bareuil, to quote only the places more in sight.
Schools : The good schools do not miss. For the girls, one will prefer Blanche of Castille, Notre Dame de la Treille or Sainte-Thérèse d'Avila. For the boys, will be privileged Saint-Paul, le Sacré-Coeur of Bondues or the college of Marcq. More the share of the establishments are mixed.
  • LYON
Lyon is a complex city; the district of Ainay or VIème district is coveted. Ainay is more aristocratic, while VIème is more "money".
has the privilege rare to have in the surroundings of Ecully, Dardilly, Saint-Didier au Mont d'Or, splendid residential districts where it makes better food than in the centre town.
Schools : Center or surroundings, all the BCBG agrees to send their boys in the Marists of Fourvières, and their daughters with the Chevreuil College of Ainay.
  • MARSEILLE
Marseilles cannot be regarded as with properly spoken a city BCBG. The ideal would be to live Aix-en-Provence and to work in Marseilles. The 8th district and more particularly the street Paradise, in the Saint-Giniez district, are the places of predilections of the old families.
Saint-Barnabé is the Neuilly of Marseille. There remain still some properties surrounded of parks which are not, like the Cadenelle, become of the residences. Some elegant buildings were built on the cornice.
The young people settle in the few old buildings renovated close to the old port or with the foot of Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde.
Schools : Schools of boys the preferences go to Melizan or Provence. For the girls, the school will be Chevreul or Notre-Dame-de-Sion.
  • NANTES
Royalists and catholics, the Nantes ones very have a predilection for the accesses XVIIIe of the Place of Graslin and cours Cambronne : rue Racine, place Royale, boulevard Guist'Hau, rue Monselet.
With defect, it is possible to live the surroundings, by avoiding the south of the Loire. Prefer Orvault, Sucé, Carquefou and more generally the edges of the Erdre.
Scools : Since the disappearance of very the BCBG cours Paviot, the mothers put their girl to Blanche de Castille, Sacré-Coeur or Chauvagne. The college Guist'Hau is possible though is mixed more. For the boys, in addition to the externat of the Enfants Nantais, there is also the college Jules Verne.
  • ORLEANS
Orléans is at one Paris time. To be for the station, it is necessary to settle in the center ; rue de la Bretonnerie, rue d'Alsace-Lorraine and if one is a doctor or lawyer ; rue de Patay or rue Royale.
On the other side of the Loire live those which have the opposite snobbery; far from the center and more still of Paris, they live in the vergers to Olivet with gardens and fruit trees.
Schools : the school Saint-Vincent has many followers for the primary education with the proviso of living near the Pasteur park.
For the secondary, Saint-Charles, is an elegant establishment for the girls where the boys patiently await the exit of the courses on other side of the porch.
Sainte-Croix is theoretically a co-educational school, but it is well seen to put the boys at it.
  • REIMS
The capital of champagne shares this privilege with Epernay, much smaller. Located on both sides Mountain of Rheims, the two cities are hardly attended, and this "montagnette" is almost as effective as Channel. It is of good tone to live the villages of the vineyard, the Solid mass of Saint-Thierry being the last word. At outside, Gueux which lost its road racing set but kept its golf, is very well seen. In the center, all that is old is well, but what is old is rare. The majority of the old houses did not survive the Germanic invasions, and those which remain are duly indexed and coveted. One lives the streets which border the boulevard of Monday, the boulevard of Peace and the Pasteur boulevard. The streets Werlé, Coquebert, Piper and of the Harvests are perfect. The ideal is to live a "private individual" (more or less large house, kind of a Parisian private mansion) with a garden.
Schools : The boys go in class to theSaint-Joseph college (one of best the college Jesuits of France), and the girls with the college Notre-Dame or the college Jean XXIII.
  • TOURS
The old Tours has now proud pace and the dimension of its meedle aged houses went up out of arrow. Very recommended, if you like the historic sites and if the fêtards of Saturday evening do not inconvenience you. Very beautiful houses close to Tours :Tops of Saint-Cyr military school and better still properties of family to a few kilometers of the center with tennis and swimming pool.
Schools : mixed Marmoutiers (soeurs du Sacré-Coeur) with blouses pale blue and prayers of rigour. Saint-Grégoire who is famous for his discipline, co-educational school with majority of boys, from the nursery school to the BAC. The college Balzac which represents good studies and a good middle-class.
